Visitors can park at the underground car park on Viale Toschi or use metered parking spaces by the train station. An alternative option is to use one of the many park-and-ride facilities located on the outskirts, next to key access points into the city.

Those looking to travel further afield during your visit, Parma is situated on the A1 which links Bologna and Milan. In addition, the Via Emilia, also known as the S9, goes through the city via a ring road.

The easiest and most cost effective way to get around the province of Parma and nearby attractions is to take the train. The city's train station is located close to the historic centre on Piazzale dalla Chiesa.
